Union Square Tree Lighting 2016 – Macy’s 27th Annual Tree Lighting
November 25, 2016 – 6pm
With 33,000 shining lights flickering around an 83 foot Christmas tree decked with 1,100 shining ornaments, the Macy’s tree lighting spectacle is the ultimate in tree lighting ceremonies. Performances by singer-songwriter Aloe Blacc, San Francisco Boys Chorus, Oakland Interfaith Gospel Choir start the ceremony with the tree lighting around 6:40 pm.

Chanukah Festival of Lights in Union Square – 2016-2017
Chanukah celebrations in Union Square take place December 24th – December 26th. A San Francisco tradition since 1975, the event is one of the first public menorah lighting celebrations of Chanukah outside of Israel. The event includes musical performances, kid’s crafts and activities, and a Dreidel house. See the full details here.
